Hello ARLIS-L Friends,
This is very hard for me to announce, but I will soon be stepping down as
Moderator for ARLIS-L. It's hard to believe, but I have done this for over
10 years! I will soon be leaving the country for a sabbatical and the
logistics of moderating the list from Ecuador are simply overwhelming.
Since I am no longer an art librarian and unlikely to be one any time soon,
it seemed like a good time to pass the baton to someone else.
The Society will need to determine what is best for the list considering the
Strategic Initiatives of the organization. In the interim, Kerri Scannell
(a Fine Arts librarian here at the Univ. of Kentucky) will moderate the
list. Kerri will take the helm after the holidays. One of our Electronic
Resources staff, Bob Crovo, will provide some technical back-up for Kerri.
This should mean very little disruption for the list. If you have any
recurring problems with your subscription that you would like me to solve
before I leave, please email me or phone me as soon as possible.
I want to thank all of you for the opportunity I have had over the years to
make (and maintain) many friendships in art libraries. ARLIS is truly a
special organization and I will miss the daily contact I feel with your
world.
