Dear ARLIS/NA members and friends,

On behalf of the Nominating Committee and Marilyn Berger, Chair, it gives
me great pleasure to announce the results of the recent election to fill
upcoming vacancies on the Executive Board.

Vice-President/President-Elect, Daniel Starr (Museum of Modern Art)
Secretary, Norine Duncan (Brown University)
Northeast Regional Representative, Laurie Whitehill-Chong (Rhode Island
School of Design)
South Regional Representative, Paula Hardin (University of North Carolina,
Chapel Hill)
Midwest Regional Representative, Ursula Kolmstetter (Indianapolis Museum of
Art)

Congratulations to you all, and good luck!

And a word of thanks to all the candidates who stood for election this
year. Although it is uniquely rewarding and a privilege to serve the
Society as a member of its Executive Board, it's never a simple decision to
let one's name be included on the ballot. It represents a potential two to
three year commitment with significant demands on one's personal time and
energy, as well as the good will of one's employer. That ARLIS/NA
continues to attract a full slate of candidates for each annual election of
Board officers is indicative of the Society's vitality and its professional
importance to you, the membership. It bodes well for the future.

With warm good wishes for the holiday season and the new year,

Karen McKenzie
President
ARLIS/NA
