At long last the online catalog of the library of the Cleveland Museum of
Art is available from outside the museum through the CMA website
(www.clemusart.com). It is presently a link under new additions to the
website but will eventually be an option elsewhere on the site.
You will be able to access the following:
Library's online public access catalog containing the complete holdings of
books and serials - approximately 260,000 volumes
Library's collection of sales catalogs (over 40,000 now searchable with the
rest being input over the next year)
Slide library (over 120,000 records for slides are online with more input
weekly)
Thumbnail images will eventually be part of most records. To see what this
will look like do a "word search" and under keyword type in 4427*
to bring up an array of the few images now available.
CMA publications index (indexes art objects in the Bulletin, Members
Magazine, and Cleveland Studies; indexing of CMA collection catalogues has
begun)
Since this is a new product, there may be occasional glitches in searching,
