To ARLIS/NA members who have written art/art history/cultural studies/etc. books: I am in the early stages of writing a book proposal. The content of the planned book will include primary resources, reprints of out-of-print secondary sources, critical essays by contemporary scholars, and color/b&w plates of works by an artist. The work will use visual images as one component of the overall book (i.e. a section of color plates, not like a general art book with lots of color images), so the publisher does not necessarily have to be a top-of-the-line art book publisher per se, although their experience would probably be beneficial. I'm looking for some feedback on your experience with these kind of publishers from the perspective of being both an author as well as a librarian. Based on your experience, what publishers would you recommend or not recommend? Any other advice you might have to share with this process itself would be greatly appreciated also. Thanks in advance! -- Roberto <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Roberto C.
