Dear List:

An exhibition of art work, photographs, and documentation "Union Square:
America's Soapbox," and opening lecture by Francine Tyler will take
place on Thursday, October 19 at 7:30 at the Brecht Forum, 122 West 27th
Street, 10th Floor.

Union Square, a small park in the midst of teeming New York City has
been the pre-eminent meeting place and symbolic home for the cause of
workers, radicals, and the unemployed. To document the history of Union
Square is to document the burning struggles of labor and partisans of
progressive political and social issues for over one hundred and fifty
years.
