To my friends and colleagues of ARLIS/NA, especially those who have
expressed interest to me in Pittsburgh:
My wife Deborah and I have returned home from Vietnam where we adopted the
most wonderful, amazing, smart, beautiful daughter in the world.
Lucie Jane Thu Carmin was born on July 23, 2000 in the village of Dai
Dong in Lang Son province in northern Vietnam, and is she ever a cute,
happy girl.
And we are told by our doctor that she is visually oriented!
