We subscribe to First Search using the username/password approach. It's available to all Museum staff from their desktop, they just have to get the password from me. We're a small staff, and very few people use it, so this approach works well for us.

Would any museum libraries who subscribe to web services mind answering a
couple of questions?
Do you access web services using a username/password approach or using IP
address recognition?
Do you give access to these services to all/some museum staff or are they
available only in the library?
