CALL FOR PARTICIPATION Museums and the Web 2001 March 14-17, 2001 Seattle, Washington, USA http://www.archimuse.com/mw2001/ Deadline: September 30, 2000. Thousands of cultural heritage institutions are now online, presenting programs and delivering information on the world wide web. But museums, libraries and archives have much to learn about what makes web sites successful. To facilitate this exchange of information, Archives & Museum Informatics organizes an annual international conference devoted exclusively to Museums and the Web. Since the first Museums and the Web in 1997, the conference has grown steadily to become one of the premier events targeting web technology in cultural heritage institutions. You are invited to participate in Museums and the Web 2001. Deliver a paper, demonstrate your site, host an on-line activity, or present a workshop. Take this opportunity to showcase your new innovations to an international community. The program is made up from suggestions by professionals like you! Proposals are due September 30, 2000. Full details and on-line proposal submission at http://www.archimuse.com/mw2001/ Proposals must address web-related issues for museums, archives, libraries and other cultural heritage institutions. MW2001 proposals will be peer-reviewed. Speakers are selected by the Program Committee based on the quality of their proposal and their previous work. Watch for the Preliminary Program on November 15, 2000. Accepted speakers must write full papers for the Conference Proceedings; demonstrators may write papers. All papers are due January 15, 2001. Conference Papers are on-line for all previous Museums and the Web conferences.
