when users of an open stack library don't want to borrow volumes (or are not eligible to), but instead leave them on a table or in an unassigned carrel with a note asking that they not be reshelved? Do you honor the request? Indefinitely? Do you reshelve after a certain amount of time? Do you leave warning messages? If many volumes are "reserved" this way, eventually, do materials become difficult to locate? Thanks for any input you can give me.
