This two-day symposium for directors and administrators who oversee preservation and collections security programs in libraries,
museums, and archives will provide institutional leaders the
opportunity to learn how colleagues are handling concerns related to
formulating strategies, using measurements, and justifying budgets
for funders. Plenary and breakout sessions have been designed to
enable participants to explore concerns that overlap and lend
themselves to complementary solutions. Experts in the cultural
heritage community will lead sessions on:

o  the challenges confronting the stewards of our nation's cultural heritage;
o developing preservation and security strategies, priorities, and
expectations;
o  measuring the effectiveness of preservation and security programs;
o  coping with theft, vandalism, deterioration, and bad press;
o building the preservation and security budget and successfully
promoting the program;
