Our museum has an intercom I believe but would never dream of paging
personnel thus, for the reason you mention. We use the phone &/or ask a
guard/custodian/nearby staff member to track down the staff member &/or
leave a message on their chair/computer. Email is another option these days
providing the message is not urgent. We also leave paper messages in
"mailboxes" or with the receptionist. Good luck. Sincerely,
