Colleagues,
Within Matisse's "Jazz" compilation, does anybody know the definition of
the title "Les codomas"? I realize the work refers to the trapeze--with
the two swinging bars and the net underneath--but what is the actual
translation of the title? I consulted Larousse and a number of other
dictionaries to no avail.
