Many thanks to all the people who responded to my question about electronic
reference services. It seems many libraries are now offering such a service
within their own institutions, but not many have considered reciprocal
arrangements with institutions in different time zones. If further analysis
of the responses reveals anything particularly interesting I shall send it
to the list.
