----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Colleagues, We at the Spencer Art Reference Library of The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art would like to know if other Art Museum libraries have policies regarding the submission of incomplete citations with Interlibrary Loan requests? --Do you send the request back to the requestor if the request does not have a complete citation OR does the ILL staff verify the citation(s)? We are an Art Library with one (1) staff member who handles ILL, and we have found that much of their time can be spent searching for an item with an incomplete citation. We are VERY INTERESTED in hearing about how other ILL departments handle this situation. EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A WRITTEN POLICY, we'd like to know what you do? PLEASE send your replies to me below. Many thanks.
