While we are still in a steep growth process here at DCAD, we are trying to project our growth rate for a period of the next 5-6 years in order to do some long-range space and budget planning. My question is, once acquisitions levels off, is there ever a point where the loss rate through theft, loss, mutilation, weeding ever equal the acquisitions rate of a library? How does one "stabilize" the size of a collection? Many thanks in advance for your responses.
