The Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester exhibited Seed Money
in the Flower City: Horticultural Illustration in Rochester, 1840-1940, from
July 8-Sept. 18, 1988. The exhibition focused on the history of printing of
custom illustrations for local nurseries. No catalog was published, but the
labels are in the exhibition files in the Gallery's Archives. The labels
cover the following topics, in addition to individual object labels with
extended text:
Horticulture in Rochester
Wood Relief Techniques
Metal Engraving
Stencil Processes
Chromolithography
Halftone-Relief Processes
