The Cleveland Public Library is a major public research library of 550
staff in a diverse urban community seeking a librarian for its Fine Arts and
Special Collections Department.
The Department is responsible for materials in music, visual arts, and
related subjects, and is the custodian of rare books in all subject areas.
The collection includes circulating audio recordings. The candidate must
have strong reference skills, the ability to develop public programming,
good computer skills, and the ability to provide model public service.
The candidate must have an ALA accredited master's degree in library
science and demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency
in foreign languages is desired (Latin, Greek, Indic or Arabic preferred).
Salary range is $36, 292 - $50,615.
