Rudy Burckhardt: Books and Diaries

Presentation of works by Rudy Burckhardt, the Swiss-born New York-based
photographer, filmmaker, painter, poet, and writer, who died in 1999 at the
age of 85. A fixture in downtown New York artistic circles for decades,
Burckhardt was both creative and influential in several media. Featured in
this presentation will be photography books, as well as rare works from the
Estate of Rudy Burckhardt.
A related exhibition is held a the New York University Grey Art Gallery:
Rudy Burckhardt and Friends: New York Artists of the 1950's and 1960's. May
9-July 15, 2000. 100 Washington Square East.
