awaits the signature of the Governor. The legislation will go into effect
on October 1, 2000.

Sacramento, CA -- UCITA was not introduced in the state legislature by
the required filing date.

District of Columbia -- UCITA has been introduced in D.C. The

Regulatory Affairs Committee and awaits a public hearing.

Dover, Delaware -- UCITA has been introduced in the Senate. It is bill
number SB 307.

Des Moines, Iowa -- Iowa is attempting to pass legislation that would
shield its businesses and consumers from the effects of UCITA.
"Bomb-shelter" legislation as it has been called is a unique method for
dealing with the prospects of passage of UCITA by other states.

Springfield, IL -- UCITA was introduced as Senate bill 1309 the week
of January 17, 2000. This bill has been tabled because of the
controversy.
