I would like to pose a question to ARLIS Members to receive output about how
a recent event affects the members in writing policies for their
organizations/libraries.  Recently Mayor Giuliani, of New York, wished to
cut funding to the Brooklyn Museum of Art due to an artist's work, for
example the mother of Jesus, Mary was depicted in a way the Mayor thought
was inappropriate.  How does the threat of or lack of funding or poltical
censorship affect you in either writing policy or deciding what to contain
in your libraries?
