Friends,

A patron recently inquired on the appropriate term for a kind of
Victorian folk art that involved gluing an assortment of "found objects"
onto a vase, urn--whatever was handy--and then monochromatically
painting said object--often a gold hue.

Is there a term for this besides the all-purpose "bricolage?"
