RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the general direction of the Head of the
Environmental Design Library, the appointee is responsible for:
Reference; Bibliographic Instruction; Collection Development;
Professional Contributions beyond the primary job. See our website

QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Graduate degree from an ALA-accredited school
of librarianship or information studies. Minimum 3 years successful
experience in collection development and reference service in
architecture, city and regional planning, and/or landscape architecture
and environmental planning. Excellent analytical and organizational
skills. Ability to work well independently, cooperatively, and
effectively with colleagues and library users in a rapidly changing,
complex, and multicultural environment. Demonstrated creativity,
initiative and flexibility. Desired: Knowledge of French, German,
Italian or Spanish language. Experience in architecture, landscape, or
planning firm or agency library.
