I think I have found the painting your patron is looking for. The title is
Trees and Houses, Cagnes-sur-mer, 1919. The painting is very similiar to =
the
Barnes Foundation one, but there is only one tree in the painting (even =
though
the title says arbres=21) The painting is oil on canvas, 55 x 46 cm., =
signed in
the lower left corner, and is in a private collection in Paris.
I got the information from Christian Parisot's Modigliani: Catalogue =
Raisonne,
Vol. II: Peintures, Dessins, Aquarelles, Livorno, Graphis Arte, 1991.
By the way, Modigliani painted five landscapes. There is a marvelous 1898
painting of a tuscan road with a singular tree in the background.

Colleagues,
According to a local collector, Modigliani only painted four
landscapes. My patron would like to know the owner of a work entitled
=22Tree and House.=22 (This is not to be confused with =22Cypress Trees and
House=22 owned by the Barnes Foundation=3B rather the work in question
contains only one tree.)
I would appreciate if somebody out there who owns the megabucks
Modigliani catalogue raisonne could take a look and see if anything
comes close to the aforementioned title. Thanks.
