Director of Library Services
The Savannah College of Art and Design is seeking candidates for the
Director of Library Services, a full-time position for an individual
with minimum of a MLS. The successful candidate will have a minimum of
five years experience in academic library work, including a
demonstrated record of management and administrative experience. The
ability to articulate and implement an innovative, flexible vision for
the library that incorporates a strong service orientation,
understanding of the instructional and scholarly needs of students and
faculty, and knowledge of emerging information resources. Also needs
excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong oral and written
communication skills. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
The Savannah College of Art and Design is a private, non-profit college
that exists to prepare talented students for careers in art, design, art
and architectural history, and media and performing arts. The College
is comprised of the Schools of Building Arts, Fine Arts, Media Arts and
Design. The College offers eighteen areas of study and awards Bachelor
of Architecture, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Architecture, Master
of Fine Arts, and Master of Arts degrees. The international faculty and
student body comes from all 50 states and approximately 80 different
countries.
