Generally increase budget each year per inflation & pricing of art books & periodicals as listed each spring in Library Journal (separate issues). Imagine details are proprietary to my larger institution but suggest asking for $2-3,000 to begin with for books, periodicals, cataloging & processing supplies & maybe slides & videos as well.
