POSITION AVAILABLE


POSITION:  Visual Resources Specialist/Lecturer in the History of Art and
Architecture.  12 month appointment,  non-tenure track. Initial appointment
for one year with multi-year reappointment possible, subject to performance
review.

START DATE:  August, 2000

SALARY:  Salary and benefits are competitive.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:  PhD or ABD preferred;  MA in Art History plus
relevant professional degree/experience also considered.  Duties include
responsibility for art historical subject authority maintenance, slide
maintenance, and other related duties in Visual Resources Laboratory, as
well as a commitment to teaching during the academic year.  Broad knowledge
of the history of art in all areas crucial.  Applicants with an interest in
teaching Museum Studies for undergraduate and graduate students especially
welcome.  Possible role in proposed Visual Resources Management certificate
program.
