----------------------------Original message----------------------------
Dear members of this list:
Earlier this month, Paul Glassman posted a message about Design Book Review.
He correctly stated that the magazine continues to exist and that the next
issue, number 40, is delayed.
As editor of DBR, I thought it might be helpful to the members of this list to
post some more information about the magazine.
The editorial offices of Design Book Review have relocated to the San Francisco
campus of the California College of Arts and Crafts. The magazine will be
published on a quarterly basis with issues appearing in the fall of 1999 and
three times, including a double issue, in the year 2000. The new editors of
DBR are committed to maintaining the magazine's high standards of scholarship
and its tradition of clear and lively architectural journalism. Our goal is to
keep the magazine a unique voice among design publications and we will continue
to review the most influential books in the fields of architecture, urbanism,
landscape architecture, design, and material culture. We apologize for the
delays in publication and can assure our subscribers that we will appear with
regularity in the future.
Should anyone have any questions about their subscription or about the magazine
itself, please do not hesitate to call William Littmann or Rita Huang at:
