Maureen:
I just happened to have printed out the latest paid e-mail edition of
the Art Deadlines List right before your e-mail came through on the
ARLIS-L.
We at OCAD received the free edition for quite a while and decided to go
for the larger paid ed. last year. I am telling you this because it
explains why I don't have an answer to your query about how accurate the
sourcing is. Our patrons found the free list useful so we went right for
the paid no questions asked. I can tell you that almost all of the
entries include either a phone or fax #, or an e-mail address so it is a
simple task to verify the information listed. We have never had any
complaints from our patrons regarding this resource.
As for getting in touch with Richard Gardner did you try the Art
Deadlines subscription address

Also there may be some info on his (photo) website at

Good luck.

H A P P Y N E W Y E A R ALL!
Are any of you familiar with the Art Dealines List that contains
extensive information for artist opportunitities? It's been
around for a number of years.
I can get no response by writing the webmaster,
Richard Gardner
http://custwww.xensei.com/adl/
A lot of the list is for free, and I'd like
to subscribe to the entire list. However,
I didn't want to consider paying anything until I knew
how he compiled his sources and could feel comfortable
about accuracy.
So if you know Richard or know anyone who has used this
list or is satisfied with it let me know.
Thanks,
Mo
