I think that art librarians might be able to recommend to Wilson just what
strategies for retrospective conversion might be useful. Maybe it's not an all
or nothing proposition.
For example, we could ask them to survey us and have people "vote" for what
titles we wanted done first and how far back they should go. There may be some
journals that we don't need and that no one would want to pay for. What might
be more useful are certain contemporary art and art history journals back to
their first volume, and perhaps even coverage that was never done by Art Index
in the first place, such as I think the first fifteen years of Artforum.
