The Association of Research Libraries Office of Management Services invites
staff in management and leadership roles in libraries of all types to
register for
our very special institute:
"Women in Library Leadership"
Nov. 18-22, 1996, Safety Harbor, FL
The Women in Library Leadership Institute was especially
designed to establish a learning experience and forum for gender issues
in leadership and management.
Questions such as:
*Are there significant differences in the ways in which men and women lead?
*Do women have different issues in the workplace than men? and,
*How do those issues affect their lives?
These are just a few of the questions this Institute is designed to explore.
Join us in identifying key skills for effective leadership in the diverse
workplace; exploring personal values and how they fit into the workplace;
assessing developmental needs; and
exploring and developing strategies for enhancing personal and professional
lives through understanding life/work balance behaviors.
