Barbara (and others; you asked on the list, Barbara, so I'll
respond there as well) -
The Dublin core record resulted from the first OCLC/NCSA
Metadata Workshop. The report of that workshop is on the OCLC
web at http://www.oclc.org. The printout I have of the report
has the caption: http://www.oclc.org...in_core_report.html (I
don't know if there's more in its name than just "/dubl" in that
ellipsis.
MARBI Discussion paper no. 86 mapped the Dublin core metadata
elements to USMARC and is therefore a fairly complete
discussion of the Dublin core fields and the data they might
include. MARBI discussion papers and proposals are available on
the LC web at http://lcweb.loc.gov.
The second Metadata Workshop resulted in the Warwick framework
which is used to define the relationship of the Dublin
core description with the document. My printout of the report
of the second workshop has the caption: http://www.nlc-
bnc.ca/d...ng/metadata/dublin2.htm.

please send me an e-message and I'll try to forward you the
documents from the web to your e-address.
