Jeanne Anne,
In your E-mail you didn't say whether you were using Windows 3.11
or Windows 95, but in Windows 95 your problem is easily solved. Windows 95
is set up so that anyone logging in under a certain user name, from ANY
machine, will be restricted to the permissions set on the server by the
administrator. If the administrator defines permissions for the user
"guest", for example, then each person logging in as "guest" would have
access to the same programs, write capabilities, and even an identical
desktop setup. It is extremely helpful in a Lab situation as you can
imagine, and I highly recommend it. Microsoft seems to have developed this
product with an eye toward server-based administration, rather than the
client-based administration that was so common in the past.
If you have any further questions or would like more information,
please feel free to mail me directly. Hope this helps....
Mike
