Jac Leirner. Born in Brazil, 1961. Lives in Brazil.
Work titled "Double Blue Chain", 1991, sewn bank notes on buckram with
anonymous graffiti (floorpiece) is in the collection of Rosa and Carlos de
la Cruz in Key Biscayne, Florida. This was one of the tours scheduled
during the ARLIS/NA Conference just last week --- an absolutely incredible
collection in the hands of an astute and passionate collector/curator
(Mrs. de la Cruz hosted the tour).
Leirner's work is made from devalued Brazilian currency. It appears on
Page 87 of Artnews, May 1995.
