The artist is Cassius Marcellus Coolidge, whoever he may be, and
you can find illustrations of the 8 paintings, entitled "Poker
Dogs", in the catalogue for Haddad's Fine Arts Reproductions, page 235
in the 5th edition (1987). I also have a reference to American Heritage
Feb. 1973, pp. 56-59 (not verified).
