Thanks to those of you who are getting the ball rolling.
The Consortium idea is being well received. If anyone has
anything to add to the notion, let us hear it.
A suggestion was made to have a pre-conference workshop on art
library reference sources -- B.J. Irvine presenting. Helpful
for new art librarians, a refresher and update for others.
Rayanne Lockard is wondering if we'd like to co-sponsor a
session she's proposing for GLIRT and I quote, "...information
on lesbian and gay artists and art history will be discussed
from a variety of viewpoints: that of an art historian dealing
with the challenges of accessing relevant information, an art
bibliographer trying to collect relevant information, someone
on new resources becoming available, etc." She'll send details
to anyone interested.
I haven't heard from anyone wishing to be Vice-Moderator or
Update contributor -- please consider it. It may be the way
for you to be sure to get to a the Conference (your school will
have to send you or at least help financially).
Thank you all. Let's keep thinking and trading ideas. And
volunteer!!
