ALA Presidential Candidates
Forum and Reception
Hear the issues, discuss your concerns and share a glass of wine with the
candidates; Charles Beard, Director of Libraries, West Georgia College;
Ching-chih Chen, Associate Dean at Simmons College Graduate School of Library
and Information Science, Boston; and Barbara Ford, Director of University
Library Services, Virginia Commonwealth University
In preparation for the upcoming three way race for the Presidency of the
American Library Association and the ALA Conference that will be held here in
New York City this summer, an exciting Candidates Forum is being planned while
the balloting is in process!
This program is co-sponsored by: ACRL/NY (The Association of College and
Research Libraries/New York); LACUNY (The Library Association of the City
University of New York); METRO (The New York Metropolitan Reference and Research
Library Agency); and NYLA,(The New York Library Association).
