Hi everyone!
FYI, the draft version of the new FRBR-Library Reference Model has been posted on the CAC wiki (http://arliscac.pbworks.com/w/file/106409877/frbr-lrm_20160225.pdf).
If you would like to send us your feedback concerning this document, please don't hesitate to contact us by mail or to post your comments on the CAC wiki.
The CAC will review all comments and, if necessary, forward them to the CC:DA Task Force on FRBR-LRM.
Please contact us before April 15th, so we have enough time to get in touch with CC:DA (they have to submit their report by the 1st of May).
All the best :)

You are invited to comment on FRBR-LRM<http://www.ifla.org/files/assets/cataloguing/frbr-lrm/frbr-lrm_20160225.pdf> as part of a world-wide review. Comments are due by May 1, 2016. Please see the files at: http://www.ifla.org/node/10280?og=54
The FRBR-Library Reference Model was developed in response to the need to unify the three separately developed conceptual models (FRBR<http://www.ifla.org/publications/functional-requirements-for-bibliographic-records>, FRAD<http://www.ifla.org/publications/functional-requirements-for-authority-data>, FRSAD<http://www.ifla.org/node/5849>) and consolidate them into a single, consistent model covering all aspects of bibliographic data. FRBR-LRM aims to be a high-level conceptual reference model developed within an entity-relationship modelling framework. The FRBR Review Group<http://www.ifla.org/about-the-frbr-review-group> worked actively towards a consolidated model starting in 2010. In 2013, the FRBR Review Group constituted a Consolidation Editorial Group (CEG) which is responsible for the drafting of this model document.
To assist in the evaluation of the FRBR-Library Reference Model, a Transition Mapping<http://www.ifla.org/files/assets/cataloguing/frbr-lrm/transitionmapping_20160225.pdf> is being made available as complementary material. The Transition Mapping begins with a brief overview of the principal differences between FRBR-LRM and the three preceding models in the FR family. The Transition Mapping then charts each user task, entity, attribute, and relationship declared in the FRBR, FRAD, and FRSAD models and maps to how each is handled in FRBR-LRM. While these mappings are not a part of the model itself, and do not constitute a formal IFLA standard, they are made available to aid in the understanding of the consolidated model and to assist in the transition of implementations. Comments on the Transition Mapping are also welcome at this time.
Comments will be reviewed by the FRBR Review Group and by the Consolidation Editorial Group.
Please send all comments to Chris Oliver ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>), Chair of the FRBR Review Group by May 1, 2016.
