Hello everyone,
I have a query (see below) from a graduate student who is working on a
dissertation relating to the historic use of nature and landscape
designs in medicine. So far I've hit a dead end. If anyone is able to
assist/offer any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
With thanks in advance,
Mary
> I'm looking at how the thinking and designs of 19th-c. English designer (John Claudius Loudon) made it's way to 19th-c. America (most notably to F.L.Olmsted). But, I've not been able to find any of Loudon's correspondence, neither a full project documenting his letters or individual letters here and there.

> Thus, do you happen to have any ideas on where I could find more resources (letters or other types of direct connections) between John Claudius Loudon (19th-c British landscape gardener/horticulturist) and any/all of the following three people?
>
> 1. William Downing, Jr (19th-c American architect)
> 2. Calvert Vaux (19th-c British born and trained architect who spent his career in the U.S.) and
> 3. Fredrick Law Olmsted (19th-c American landscape architect)
