Sue et al.,
If you haven’t already viewed them, the proceedings<https://arlisna.org/news/featured-art-libraries/10-conferences/49-2015-conference-proceedings> of the session that you mentioned below, as well as other sessions/workshops/meetings from the Fort Worth conference can be found on the ARLIS/NA website, which I think would be a good starting point.

Lastly, you might consider joining the Photography Librarians Special Interest Group<https://arlisna.org/organization/sigs> as these folks will likely be a valuable source of current information on developing such a collection. The group convenes annually, has a blog, and maintains an active email distribution list.

Subject: [ARLIS-L] photo-based artists' books?
Hello, All,
I attended a panel about photo-based artists books at the conference last spring. Now we are considering starting such a collection.
We have many books in our collection from decades past that fall into that category, such as those by Ed Ruscha. But according to the panelists, there are now new types of books being created by artist/photographers and new methodologies for creating such a collection these days.
I would be most appreciative of any advice you could send me about how to start this project.
Thanks so much.
