Dear Friends and Colleagues,
California will be host to four very different book fairs between
Thursday, January 29, and Thursday, February 11.
**Printed Matter's LA Art Book Fair runs from Thursday, January 29,
through Sunday, February. Admission to this amazing event is free,
except for the Thursday evening preview, which has a $10 charge. Last
year, 25,000 mostly young, enthusiastic people attended. There will
be over 250 international presses, booksellers, antiquarians,
artists, and independent publishers. It takes place at the Geffen
Contemporary at MOCA in Little Tokyo, in downtown L.A.
Hours are: Preview, 6-9 Thursday, January 29 ($10 ticket)
Friday January 30th, 12-7pm
Saturday January 31st, 11-7pm
Sunday February 1st, 11-6pm
The website has more information and a gallery of photographs from
last year's show. http://laartbookfair.net/about/
**Bustamante Shows will have a fine antiquarian fair at the Pasadena
Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, January 31 and February 1.
Since I will be at the Printed Matter fair, I do not have the
details. Admission is inexpensive. Please see:

**The 48th California International Antiquarian Book Fair, sponsored
by the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America, will take
place February 6-8 at the Oakland Marriott City Center. The hotel
connects directly with BART, and it promises to be an excellent new
location. Over 200 international exhibitors will be showing
remarkable books and printed materials.
Hours are: Friday, February 6, 2015, 3-8 pm
Saturday, February 7, 2015, 11 am-7 pm
Sunday, February 8, 2015, 11 am-5 pm
Ticket prices vary, but we will be sending out free passes this week.
Any ARLIS member wanting one should call or e-mail me at the number
or address below.

**CODEX V, February 8-11, Craneway Pavilion, Richmond, California. In
previous years, I never saw this event because it overlapped with
the antiquarian shows where I exhibitt. This year I will be there as
a visitor, not an exhibitor. For details, please see:

Cordially,
Larry
