All:
My library is considering the idea of opening a gallery within our main library to showcase student art. Would those of you working in libraries that have student art spaces share your policies with me? I'd like to know how other libraries solicit proposals, jury/approve submissions and manage the schedule and deadlines. I am especially interested in any sections of policies that outline limitations to the way in which a space may be modified by the artist/s. The space we'd like to use would be available only for 2-D works, and we're investigating the possibility of a movable hanging system.
Thank you in advance!
