Hello collective wisdom,
One of my art faculty members just came to me with a request for any
information on a very obscure designer named Louise Brigham, married
name Chisholm. Here's a wikipedia page (written by my faculty member)
that describes Brigham's life and times:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louise_Brigham
My faculty member wonders if there might be an archive that holds
Brigham's papers. A search on Archivegrid reveals only 3 postcards sent
from Brigham to Edwin Markham, part of the Markham Archive, held at
Wagner College, Horrmann Library.
A search on Worldcat leads to mention of a vertical file--I found that
this is held at the Wolfsonian Museum and Library--but per email with
library staff, is a 9-page paper on Brigham written by Thompson Neville,
not Brigham's own papers.
Unfortunately, we do not subscribe to Design and Applied Arts Index.
Thank you for any leads you can provide!!!
Take care,
Emilee Mathews
