Dear Colleagues,
In case you missed the original post, there's something strange in the
skies over our blog, Recto|Verso.
We've recently shared a collection of otherworldly images from popular and
speculative space science titles published in francophone Europe before
and after Sputnik. The gallery includes several images drawn from
Inforespace, the newsletter of the Société Belge d’Étude des Phénomènes
Spatiaux, including eye-witness drawings of aliens and diagrams explaining
the unpredictable flight patterns of UFOs.
Overall, the collection provides more than enough evidence to suggest that
French and Belgian readers of the post-war era were absolutely fascinated
with outer space exploration and visitors from other planets.
