Let me rephrase the question...
Does anyone know of any library, preferably an academic (but not necessarily so), that has some sort of controlled access gate (magnetic stripe, optical scan, RF, combinations) and also RFID or RF exit gates?
If not that, how about controlled access gates combined with tattle tape exit gates?
Thanks,

Subject: [ARLIS-L] Security entry and exit query
Greetings all,
For a new building project we are trying to wed an RFID tagged
collection and RFID exit gates with a controlled access system. There
are two access points for the proposed library, and although both are
within clear sight lines from the Reference/Circulation Desk, neither of
the access points will be staffed.
Current assumption is that access at both points will be by turnstile
system of some sort, either magnetic card swipe or optical scan. The
RFID exit gates operate at 13.56 MHz.
Has anyone installed an unstaffed controlled access system that works in
combination with RFID columns? If so, what sort of access system did you
use? Did you have any problems with the access system interfering with
the RFID frquency? Anything else you can share on your experience?
I am on a very short time line on this, so mails or calls asap much
appreciated.
Thanks,
Peter Blank
