Hi Joel,
Regarding Adobe Bridge training, I highly recommend Accelerate Computer Training in Long Beach. I recently took the Photoshop CS5 class with Beverly Houwing which included Bridge training. She is highly knowledgeable and a great certified trainer, see http://www.acceleratecomputertraining.com/adobe/
Tim Jones runs Accelerate and he will work with you if you need on-site training. I arranged for him to come up to Pasadena to train the library staff in the use of FileMaker Pro.

Hi Traci,
Could you please circulate a summary of your findings,
I would love to learn more about how such resource rooms are used,
Ksenia

Subject: Retirement!
Friends, family and colleagues in the UK and the US, Tuesday the 31st is my last day at the Architectural Association library. I am retiring to pursue other activities, but will be doing occasional work for the AA as well. My e-mail will remain the same for the foreseeable future.
It has been a great 14+ years here and I've made wonderful friends, but I am ready to slow down (just a bit!).
Stay in touch.
Warm regards,
Hinda

Subject: art library for sale
A book collector & dealer (his business has been dissolved legally) who bought many books from our on-going book sale for years, died suddenly this spring. His family is interested in selling his library covering art of the 20th century to the present. I asked her how many books there are, and she really doesn't know. "Thousands" was her reply. We talked about our collection here at the SBMA and she estimates there are enough to fill a particular section of our library, which is about 500 linear feet. As many of them are thin exhibition catalogs this could mean many thousands.
Does anyone know of someone who would be interested in considering purchase of such a collection in its entirety? If so, please pass this along. For the time being, I'll take the replies off list [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> and route them.
I'm posting this to the list in general, but the collection is currently located in California: Thousand Oaks & Santa Barbara.

Subject: Adobe Bridge training programs
Hello VRA Listers,
Is anyone aware of training that is available for Adobe Bridge? I checked the Adobe website and they list training for Photoshop, which includes some training on Bridge. Is anyone aware of a training program for Adobe Bridge that is tailored to the Visual Resources community?
Thanks,
Joel

Subject: Reading Recommendation Needed
Hi Everyone,
I am putting together the NOMA Book Club reading schedule and I am stumped for a title to tie in to a Pre-Columbian art exhibition. Do any of you know of a book that deals with this? The book should be interesting to read, not too dry, and preferably nonfiction (fiction in a pinch). It should be of interest to a diverse group of readers, all of whom love art.
