I just stumbled across this resource while helping a student find a
digital image of Monet's San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk (not in ArtStor).
Wikipaintings: http://www.wikipaintings.org/
Wikipaintings claim that the images in their database are in the public
domain. I haven't seen any chatter about this resource on his list, so
I was wondering if anyone has any issues with it as a reputable source
of images. It would be a good addition to our "Find images" Libguide.
I haven't consulted with my Art History faculty yet.
Has anyone had any experiences with Wikipaintings, good or bad?
TIA
Marianne
