Istanbul, Turkey's largest city and cultural capital, has hosted a successful international contemporary art biennial for the past 25 years, organized by the İstanbul Kültür ve Sanat Vakfı (Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation). The first Istanbul biennial, held in 1987 was called: Uluslarası İstanbul Çağdaş Sanat Sergileri = I. International Istanbul Contemporary Art Exhibitions (OCLC: 23565604). The second Istanbul biennale, held in 1989, and all subsequent biennials in the series have been called: Uluslararası İstanbul Bienali = International Istanbul Biennial (OCLC: 38983590). The 12th International Istanbul Biennial was held in November 2011 (OCLC: 773005394). All of the International Istanbul Biennials have issued substantial bilingual catalogs (text in parallel blocks of English and Turkish on each page), published by the Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation. At our library, we're keeping the series together under the same call number.
Bosphorus Books, an Istanbul-based dealer specializing in art and architecture books, has helped us fill gaps in our holdings of this biennial. The owner, Mustafa Özdemir, is fluent in English, has a personal interest in contemporary art and carries an amazing stock of hard-to-find current and antiquarian exhibition catalogs, gallery publications and artist monographs. He does o.p. searching and takes payment by credit card via www.abebooks.com.

Another Turkish vendor we've used is Eren Books. Although Eren is a generalist book dealer, he has a good stock of art books. One can order titles online through Eren's website <http://en.eren.com.tr/>, which accepts payment by credit card. He also does approval plans.
