Dear Heidi and all--
Several art catalogers have been involved with the testing for RDA, e.g., Liz O'Keefe and Maria Oldal of the Morgan Library, Penny Baker of the Clark Art Institute, Sarah Quimby of the Minnesota Historical Society, Kay Teel of Stanford. The ARLIS/NA Cataloging Advisory Committee (CAC) has been listening to these testers as well as having a representative on CC:DA, the ALA committee that deals with RDA and related issues.
When AACR2 was implemented, ARLIS/NA sponsored a workshop at the 1981 conference. CAC is looking at preparing a workbook for RDA. Assuming that RDA is implemented by the U.S. national libraries, we are beginning to work on a workbook of examples, something like the workbook for the 1981 conference. A list of potential examples is available on the CAC wiki: http://arliscac.pbworks.com The need for a full workshop seems to be covered by the various tutorials that are now available for RDA.
The CAC wiki also includes links to the reports of the ARLIS/NA liaison to CC:DA for the last several years.
