A graduate student here is publishing an essay and wants to include two
advertisements, one from McCall's 1933 and one from Woman's Home
Companion 1929. She wants to know how to find out if anyone holds
copyright on them or if they are now in the public domain.
I pointed her to Cornell's wonderful copyright/public domain chart, but
would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks, Ruth Thomas, Mugar Library, Boston University
