Dear Colleagues:
The Pratt Institute Libraries are planning to implement electronic reserves
and your feedback would be appreciated. It would be helpful to know your
policies on Print Reserves and E-Reserves.
Print Reserves:
1. Does your institution place limits on the number of multiple
copies of a title placed on reserve?
2. How are personal copies of books treated? At Pratt temporary
covers are made for books to be placed on reserve to minimize wear. We
are trying to limit cost and time expenditure.
3. Do you limit the total number of reserve items placed for one class?
4. Are there format-specific Limits, such as the number of books or
articles?
5. Is there a limit on the amount of money your library will spend to
purchase a book to be placed on reserve?
6. What are the criteria for purchasing a reserve item?
E-Reserves

Many thanks.
